If going to southern Interior Salish region will not go over to eastern parts such as Coeur d'Alene, but work from Nespelem, focus on Columbia, Sanpoil, Yakama, Chelan band of Columbia Salish. Describes route to get there and back, including planned stop at mouth of Kootenay River to collect vocabulary of Lakes (Sinixt) dialect of Colville, and returning via Similkameen. Letter from Nespelem, Colville Reservation. Visited Fort Spokane on Spokane Reservation. Mentions names of Indian Service agents met. Could not do much work there. Work at Colville has been productive; Indians interested in the work, glad the information is being recorded. Nez Perce and Yakama people asked that Teit do the same for them as for the Salish tribes. Many very knowledgable elders. Great potential for future work. Collected lengthy vocabularies of Sinkiuse-Columbia, Colville, Sanpoil. Has same for Okanagan, Spokane, and Coeur d'Alene.
